Technology is the single biggest disruptor in our society since WWII: it impacts how and what we consume, how we communicate and ultimately how we evolve collectively.
Its entry costs have collapsed over the years and if technology has contributed to the establishment of a middle class in many countries since WWII, the recent focus on automation via the development and the use of Artificial Intelligence is threatening countless jobs. Furthermore, the harvesting and the use of Big Data is paramount to the profiling of people's behaviours: High Tech and Low Cost.
Ultimately Technology is about Information: its collection, its processing and its use for influence and power.
In this fast-paced environment where I.T. advances involve a mix of risks and benefits, we try to assess the economic and societal impacts of the latest technological developments.
